Designing with Mirrors

We are always experimenting with interesting ways to style mirrors and especially love ones with unexpected textures or shapes to add depth to a vignette. Mirrors are the perfect addition to an entry, bedroom, living room and even kitchens. We have discovered so many pretty ways to style mirrors and wanted to share some of favorites with you. Topping the list of favorites is this oversized mirror balancing perfectly over a carved console at The Grove Byron Bay. The addition of coral, African decor and a rattan pendant makes this vignette a bounty of interest and texture. The "star" or should we say "sun" of this layered Bohemian display by Justina Blakeney is definitely the Emuna mirror. What space couldn't use this happy face radiating from its walls?

Praises to the creative placement of this kitchen mirror by the Feasby & Bleeks design team. We love how it adds visual interest into a typically utilitarian space and allows the homeowner's collections and unique chandelier to be viewed from multiple vantage points.

Tharon Anderson combined a driftwood mirror and rattan stools with a pieced glass chandelier when designing this memorable entryway. Every element of this space makes a statement on its own but when combined they create an enchanting welcome.

This stylish writing desk is highlighted by a coco wood ruffle mirror in this bedroom design by Dyfari Interiors. Its texture is the perfect addition to the sleek, contemporary lines of the room.

Here's another desk vignette that we can't get enough of. This beautiful space is proof you can never have too much rattan in your life especially when it comes in the form of an octagonal mirror.
