Art Deco Revival
We have been in awe of this Art Deco Revival home ever since we spotted it in the August issue of Atlanta Homes Magazine . The restoration of this historic Buckhead stunner was the work of architect Ryan Duffey and his designer wife, Nancy Duffey. One particular favorite space is this sitting room. What's not to love about this clean, sophisticated room with the perfect amount of warmth and texture? We loved it so much we couldn't resist recreating this look Dear Keaton style!
Paint | Chandelier | Palm Prints | Swivel Chair Pillow | Lumbar Pillow | Ottoman | Lamp
Of course that amazing light fixture sets the tone for the entire space. The delicate glass mixed with the inset triangles make this origami glass chandelier a work of art. It is one of our favorite lighting choices on DearKeaton.com! The cement prism table lamp is the perfect counterpoint to the origami chandelier overhead. Next, next those blue upholstered swivel chairs. Can we just take a moment to admire them? The gentle curve of the barrel back and wood detail at the bottom makes this chair the perfect mix of form and function. The unique shape and woven wicker "cushion" of these these ottomans provide an airiness to the space, as well as texture. The deep, moody gray on the walls creates an intriguing backdrop for the color and textures of this room . Speaking of walls, the green in the framed botanical is such an eye catching moment. Of course, when it comes to botanical prints here at Dear Keaton, we prefer palm leaves and think these framed prints would be spectacular flanking either side of the window. Every chair needs a pillow and these are no exception. The interesting mix of muted metallic colors and embroidered geometric design are the perfect coupling to the curved lines of the chairs. We also love the idea of adding the embroidered marbling look of this pillow to the space. And that is how you get the look Dear Keaton style. Happy Living, Dear Keaton
