Our Porto Terra Cotta Pitcher features the rich tone of unglazed red terra cotta contrasted with a simple glaze on the rim and interior. Each piece is handled with great care; from kick-wheel to kiln, from glazing wheel to kiln again. Produced in Portugal in family owned and operated studios, with great pride in tradition and skill maintained through the generations. This hand thrown piece is traditionally found in local restaurants serving wine from large earthenware jars throughout the Iberian peninsula.
